White Pocket Pita
A pita pizza topped with tomato slices and green peppers

Ingredients

  • 2 Cham Bakery white pocket pitas
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/3 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • Your favorite toppings: sliced peppers, onion, olives, mushrooms or pepperoni
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Method

  1. Heat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Lay the pitas on the sheet and brush the edges with the olive oil.
  3. Spread the sauce to within half an inch of the edge, then scatter over the cheese and your toppings.
  4. Bake for 4 to 6 minutes, until the cheese melts and the edges turn golden.
  5. Sprinkle with oregano, cut into quarters and eat it hot.

A tip from our kitchen: Let children build their own: set the toppings out in bowls and give everyone a pita.
